ANTIQUE FISH COLOURED LITHOGRAPH PRINT OF FISH
This 135 year old chromolithograph or colored lithograph print is from Reverand W. Houghton's "BRITISH FRESH-WATER FISH" published by William Mackenzie in London in 1879. The plates were printed by Benjamin Fawcett from drawings by A.F. Lyon.
CONDITION
The print is in very good condition, with minimal, natural age toning. The image is about 11 1/2 " x 8 " on a page that is 14 1/2 " x 10 1/2 ". (blank on back) The engraving is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift.
The book that this print came from is rare. It sells on the Internet for up to $5,000 and has only 40 fish plates.
