RARE, ANTIQUE, COPPER ENGRAVING of TRAVEL in WALES This 174 year old copper engraving was rescued from the book "WANDERINGS AND EXCURSIONS IN WALES" by Thoms Rosco, dated 1837. It was published by Tilt & Simpkin of London.This engraved print has an image that is about 4 " x 6 " on a leaf or page that is 5 " x 7 1/2 ". It is in very good condtion except for a close crop on the left side that does not affect the engraving after it is matted. It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift. The print is rare. The book sells for up to $1,200 on the Internet. The print that is being sold is of "FALL OF THE RHEIDOL". |
