ANTIQUE ENGRAVING PLATE OF FISH This 151 year old lithograph is from the book "REPORTS OF EXPLORATIONS AND SURVEYS TO ASCERTAIN THE MOST PRACTICAL AND ECONOMICAL ROUTE FOR A RAILROAD FROM THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER TO THE PACIFIC OACEAN" Published by The War Department in Washington in 1860. The artist was J.H. Richard.These railroad surveys were the first attempt at a comprehensive, systematic, geographical exploration of the western regions, and some of the earliest Botanical and Zoological images found in the West This LITHOGRAPH print has an image that is about 7 1/4" x 10" on a leaf or page that is 8 1/2" x 11 1/2". It is in very good condtion.
