ANTIQUE ENGRAVING
This 226 year old COPPER ENGRAVING print was rescued from M. Florian's GALETEE, ROMAN PASTORAL, IMITEE DE CERVANTES published in 1785.This finely engraved print was engraved by J.B. Guyard from art by Joseph Marie Flouest (1747-1833)
Engravings by Flouest have sold for over $ 1,400 each on the Internet. Florian's book from a 1793 edition is currently for sale in Spain for $ 22,102. I have not found an enegraving from the 1785 edition of this book for sale on the Internet.
This miniature print has an image that is about 3 1/4" x 1 3/4" on a page that is 5" x 2 3/4". It is in good condition. It is suitable for framing (in a small frame) and would be an excellent gift.
