What methods of payment does Sandtique accept?
We accept Paypal which accepts credit cards, checks and other forms of payment. PayPal stands behind your purchase from Sandtique. Also, our website provides SECURE CHECK-OUT.

Does Santique offer appraisal services?
Yes. We provide appraisal services for $50.00 per hour, with a 1 hour minimum. Appraisal services include a written valuation and a formal qualifications letter, which can be used for insurance, tax and estate purposes. We require mapmaker name, title, date, size and a brief condition description. ____________________________________________________________________________
Do you ship to all parts of the World?
Yes. We have shipped over 9,000 prints and maps to about 40 different countries since 1998. We usually ship within one day of payment. We charge a flat fee of $3.00 for 1-4 antique prints and/or maps shipped to an address in the U.S and a flat fee of $6.00 for 1-4 prints and/or maps shipped to all other countries. How do you ship my antique prints or maps?
We usually ship smaller prints or maps flat in plastic cover on a firm cardboard in envelopes. Packages are marked “DO NOT BEND”. For lager prints and most maps, we use cardboard tubes. ____________________________________________________________________________
Are all shipments insured?
Yes. All items we sell are shipped fully insured for the purchase price of the item. If an item does not arrive, you will receive a full refund. If a package arrives damaged, you will receive a full refund upon return of the item in question. We use USPS First Class mail and each package is tracked.

What is your return policy if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
If you are not satisfied with a purchase for any reason, you may return the item within 7 days of receipt for a purchase credit or full refund, if you prefer.

What is an antique print or map?
Antique Prints & Maps are maps printed or drawn at least 100 years ago. We call prints and maps that are less than 100 years old but over 50 years old, “vintage”
Over 95% of the prints and maps that we sell are antique. The remainder are vintage but usually produced using antique print and map methodology.
We do not sell reproductions.

How is the date of an antique print or map determined?
Many antique prints and maps include the date the item was published while the book where the print or map came from has the date on the title page. Often, if this information is not available we research the print or map until the exact date of publication is determined. Sometimes if the exact date cannot be found, we describe the print or maps date of publication as c1900. The “c” is short for “circa”.

Sandtique does not do framing but if you are interested, we can set you up with our local framing shop. Just ask.
