TRAVIES'S HAND-COLORED STEEL ENGRAVING
This 161 year old hand-colored steel engraving is from "OEUVRES COMPLETES DE BUFFON" published by Garnier Freres in 1853, in Paris. The engraver was Edouard Travies.
The engraving is in very good condition, with usual minor age toning. The image is about 7 " x 5 " on a page that is about 11 " x 7 ". The digital watermark on this image will not be on the engraving that you receive. The engraving is suitable for framing and would make an excellent gift.
