Owen Jones (1809 – 1874) was a London-born architect and designer of Welsh descent. He was a versatile architect and designer, and one of the most influential design theorists of the nineteenth century. These design propositions made significant changes in chromolithography and also formed the basis for his seminal publication, The Grammar of Ornament, the global and historical design source book for which Jones is perhaps best known today.
This CHROMOLITHOGRAPH print has an image that is about 8" x 11 1/2" on a page that is 9" x 13". It is in very good condition. The chromolithogrphy is very fine. It is suitable for decorating and framing and would be an excellent gift.
