ANTIQUE STEEL ENGRAVING FEATURING PORTRAITS OF FAMOUS PEOPLE

This 180 year old Steel Engraving is from the book "THE GALLERY OF PORTRAITS dated  1833.  The publisher was Charles Knight of London. 

This engraving is on a page that is 7 " x 10 1/2 " with the back side blank. It is in good condition with light age toning and some minor foxing. It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift. 

The cost of the book was one guinea in 1833.  Today it sells for up to $1,700 on the Internet. - that's inflation!
