RARE, ANTIQUE CHROMOLITHOGRAPH BIRD PRINT This 138 year old print was rescued from "BEAUTIFUL BIRDS IN FAR-OFF LANDS" by Mary & Elizabeth Kirby published by T. Nelson & Sons of London in 1873.This chromolithograph was touched up by hand. It is truly beautiful and rare. I could find only three of these books on the Internet and only one seller of the prints with the price per print of $225. This chromolithograph print (the size of the picture) is about 5 " x 3 1/2 " on a page that is about 7" x 5". It is in very good condtion with the usual age toning. It has high detail and the featured birds are beautiful. This print is suitable for framing and would be an excellant gift. The print that is being sold is of "HUMMING BIRDS - THE PHAON COMET & CHIMBORAZIAN HILL STAR" |
