This 263 year old Antique Print is an original copper engraving by Benard Direxit. It is an extract from Diderot's "Encyclopédie" from 1751-72.
Denis Diderot (1713 – 1784) was a French philosopher, art critic, and writer. He was a prominent person during the Enlightenment and is best known for serving as co-founder, chief editor, and contributor to the "Enclopedie".

This fine art engraving has an image that is about 8 " x 5 1/2" on A page that is 10 " x 7 1/2". It is on hand-made, chain linked, watermarked paper. It is in very good condition. It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift.
