HAND-COLORED LITHOGRAPHED MAP
This 161 year old hand-colored, engraved map is by J. H. Colton. The map features Austria, Venice, Piedmont, Tuscany, Aemilia, Marches, Umbria and the states of the church. It was published in New York by Colton & Co. in 1855.
The map is in very good condition. It is about 16" x 12 1/2" on a sheet that is 17 1/2" x 14 1/2". It has descriptive script on verso and signed in print.
This fine map is suitable for framing and would be an excellent cherished gift.
