This HAND-COLORED ENGRAVING is from J. Boydell's SHAKESPERE'S GALLERY published in London in about 1792. The engraver was Sebinonelli after a painting by Smirke.

The Boydell Shakespeare Gallery in London, England, was a project by engraver and publisher John Boydell in an effort to foster a school of British history painting. In addition to the establishment of the gallery, Boydell planned to produce an illustrated edition of William Shakespeare's plays and a folio of prints based upon a series of paintings by different contemporary painters.
The print is in very good condition. The image is about 11 " x 7 " on a page that is 16 1/2 " x 12 ". The engraving is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift.
