Bernard Direxit's "BUCARDE CARDIUM" - Copper Engraving - 1797

RARE, ANTIQUE COPPER ENGRAVING PLATE OF SEASHELLS

This 218 year old Antique Print is an original copper engraving by Benard Direxit from his "Histoire Naturelle". It is an extract of the first edition of the Diderot's Encyclopédie and d'Alembert from 1797.   

This engraving has an image that is about 6 1/4" x 9 1/2" on a leaf or page that is 8 1/4" x 11 1/2".  It is on laid paper.  It is in very good condition with the usual age toning.  It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift.

This print is quite rare and sells for up to 200 euros on the Internet.
