RARE, WENCESLAUS HOLLAR COPPER ENGRAVING This 198 year old print is from Hans Holbein's "DANCE of DEATH" published by J. Coxhead in London in 1816. The engraving was by Wenceslaus Hollar. V¡clav Hollar (1607 - 1677), was a Bohemian etcher, known in England as Wenceslaus or Wenceslas and in Germany as Wenzel Hollar. He was born in Prague, and died in London. |
