Hand-Colored Lithograph print of women from "THE FLOWERS PERSONIFIED" or "LES FLEURS ANIMEES" illustrated by J.J. Grandville. This genuine 166 year old colored lithograph print was published in New York by Martin in 1847.
BACKGROUND
Jean Ignace Isidore Gérard (1803 – 1847), generally known by the pseudonym of J. J. Grandville, was a French caricaturist. He is known best for personalizing animals in a political satire setting.

This litho is in very good condition with mild age toning and minimal foxing in the margin. The size of the image is about 7" x 5" on a page that is 10 " x 7 ".
