 ANTIQUE, HAND COLORED, WOODCUT FISH ENGRAVING

This 457 year old woodcut print is from Conrad Gesner's "HISTORIAE ANIMALUM" published in Zurich in1558. 

This hand-coloured engraving (the size of the picture) is about 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" on a page that is about 15 1/2 " x 9 1/2" It is in  good condition with natural age toning. There are two engravings - one on each side of the page.  It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift.
