PHOTO-LITHOGRAPH

PRINT OF ORNAMENTAL HERALDRY

This 144 year old photo-lithograph print is from "EXAMPLES OF ORNAMENTAL HERALDRY OF THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY" compiled by Sir William Stirling-Maxwell.  It was privately published in London  in 1867.

This print is rare! There is only one copy available at this time on the Internet.

Photolithography (or "optical lithography") is a process used in microfabrication to selectively remove parts of a thin film or the bulk of a substrate. It uses light to transfer a geometric pattern from a photo mask to a light-sensitive chemical "photoresist", or simply "resist," on the substrate. A series of chemical treatments then either engraves the exposure pattern into, or enables deposition of a new material in the desired pattern upon, the material underneath the photo resist. In complex integrated circuits, for example a modern CMOS, a wafer will go through the photolithographic cycle up to 50 times.

This photolithograph print is in very good condtion with some minor age toning. The page is about 17 1/2" x 13" with various sizes of images.  This print is rare and I have found only one for sale on the Internet.  This print is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift FOR A PERSON WITH THE SAME LAST NAME.

Below two names are mentioned.  The first is of the crest of the family on one side of the page while the second is of the family crest on the other side of the page.

The print that is being offered features family crests of "JUAN ORTEGA DE CARRION" and "CYRIACUS JACOBI"
