ANTIQUE STEEL ENGRAVING PRINT OF VEGATABLE SCENES by Fitch This 156 year old engraving is from a famous book "A HISTORY OF THE VEGETABLE KINGDON" by William Rhind, dated 1855.This steel engraving has an image that is about 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" on a leaf or page that is 6 " x 10 ". It is in very good condtion. It is suitable for framing and would be an excellent gift for a print collector or botonist. The prints were published by Blackie & Sons in Glascow. The Illustrations were by Walter Hood Fitch who was illustrator for Sir W. Hooker. The print that is being sold is entitled "BANYAN BOABOB". |
