ORIGINAL, ANTIQUE, STEEL ENGRAVED DOUBLE PUNCH CARTOON 

This 137 year old CARTOON is from the book "PUNCH - VOLUME LXVI - CHAMPION OF ENGLAND",  dated 1874. The publisher was Bradbury, Agnew & Co. Printers, Whitefriars, London, England.

Punch (or. The London Charivari) was a British weekly magazine of humour and satire established in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and engraver Ebenezer Landells. It was most historically influential in the 1840s and 50s, for example helping to coin the term "cartoon" in its modern sense as a humorous illustration, it would remain a British institution for decades with circulation not peaking until the 1940s before going into a long decline and closing in 1992.

This DOUBLE fold-out print is on a page 11" x 17 " with the image about 9 1/2" x 14 ".  It is in good condition and is blank on the back. It has natural age toning and is rough around the edges.

The print that is being sold is of "WRESTLING FOR LIFE".
